It’s me, Sanjeev!

Sanjeev
Hi! I’m Sanjeev and I am so excited to be the newest member of our Blog Team. I enjoy working with all of my students from the Hollywood area of Los Angeles, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and South New Jersey.

I was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area and I graduated from UC Merced in 2009. I was a member of the founding class of the university and the experience changed my life! I was a tour guide all 4-years and I loved walking backwards and telling the best jokes that everyone always laughed at! After graduating with the inaugural class in 2009 I jetted off to the University of Vermont where I earned a Master of Education in 2010 and learned what a real winter is. Seriously, you guys, it gets way below 65 degrees on the east coast!

I am the first in my family to attend college and am so proud to share my story with every student I come in contact with. I had the best college experience and I love working with students to help create that. In addition to letting you know all the great things that USC has to offer, I happily provide stories and advice from my experiences. Like that one time on my very first day of class when I was shocked there were no bells to tell us when to go to class. That was a bit awkward.

When I’m not traveling or reading applications, I enjoy keeping busy with so many different activities. I enjoy everything from spending time in the Bay Area with my family, hanging out with my friends and trying to decide the best sushi spot in LA (it’s Sugarfish for now), and scouring thrift stores for cools finds. The activity that does take up most of my time is dancing. I dance every day and have my entire life. You can find me on a dance floor or at my desk dancing with headphones on at any given moment.

My favorite thing about USC is the confidence it instills in people. Being a part of the Trojan Family not only allows you access to a vast array of opportunities, but it gives you a sense of confidence that can carry you through all the things that life throws your way.

I am looking forward to sharing the USC experience through this blog!

      Hi Nitin,

Game design is one of the minors that are offered through the USC School of Cinematic Arts. A minor is just like a major, it just has a smaller amount of course requirements. Students can minor in an area that is unrelated to their major or is an extension of their academic interests. I suggest getting in touch with the School of Cinematic Arts so they can provide you detailed information about that minor: https://cinema.usc.edu/contact/index.cfm
