Introducing Kenley – new staff blogger

intro blog pic         It was just over two years ago that I started as an Assistant Director of Admission at USC. Wow, what a journey it has been! I work with students from a variety of areas: Utah, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Kansas City, and parts of Orange County and San Diego (phew!).   I have bright red hair, and the fiery personality to match, so I am always full of energy and up for any adventure. I love to travel, explore the outdoors, bake anything with chocolate (lots of it!), and you can always find me dancing if there is an upbeat tune. I am thrilled to be joining the blogging team and can’t wait to share some of my insights and knowledge about the admission process and college life.

I grew up in Utah and lived in the most beautiful mountains in the world. I spent quite a bit of time exploring them, but got tired of the lengthy winters, which is why I was eager to attend school in sunny Southern California. I attended Claremont McKenna College where I studied International Relations and Psychology.

I loved my college experience. I really loved it, which is why I enjoy working in higher education, specifically helping students find an institution that is a good fit. It is very easy to talk to prospective students about USC because it is such a great place to live and study. I am lucky to work on such a dynamic, energy-filled campus. Our students are thinkers, academic options are plentiful, and we are located in an urban community in one of the greatest cities in the world. I can’t wait to share more about the USC experience and the admission process in my posts to come!
