Spring Break!

One of the things I love about USC is all of the amazing travel opportunities offered by different organizations on campus. This past winter break I was able to participate in the Alternative Break Program in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

New Year’s Resolutions

We are excited to be back and have lots of ideas about things to share with you this spring in the USC Admission Blog. We want to continue to give you an “insider’s look” at our people, our process, and our university. There are over 35 admission staff members currently part of our review process and right now it feels like we are spending every waking moment reading your applications. We’re doing it to come meet you, your families, and anyone who is interested in learning more about USC. It’s true- we bring a little bit of USC (and quite a few USC representatives) directly to many cities.

A Day in the Life of an Admission Counselor

It’s officially fall, which means most college admission counselors are out traveling around the country and meeting with prospective students. A typical day for me goes something like this: wake up before 7am, visit 4 high schools throughout the day, maybe squeeze in a late lunch or nap, head to a college fair, try to eat a healthy dinner, sleep in a hotel, repeat.
