“It’s all about the numbers” seems to be something I unfortunately hear quite a bit when folks talk about college admission. It makes me sad because that is completely false when talking about the admission process at USC. Students, counselors and parents tend to get very anxious about GPAs and test scores.

I’ve lived in Los Angeles my entire life and yet I don’t ever recall meeting anyone famous, despite having Hollywood in my backyard. However, thanks to USC, I feel like I’ve become somewhat of a celebrity among America’s teenagers (well, not to the level of Taylor Swift or Justin Bieber) because thousands of students want to meet me every fall. As much as I’d like to think it’s me, high school seniors want to make sure I understand their strong interest in USC.
