Discover USC Off-Campus Program

Family Weekend

This past weekend, USC hosted its annual Family Weekend to welcome parents and families of current students to campus. Guests were able to attend classes with their student, hear from President Nikias, cheer on the Trojan football team, and take part in many other events throughout the weekend.

One special program showcased a conversation with Gary Tuchman, a CNN National Correspondent. We are fortunate to have him provide his perspective on being a proud parent of two USC students as a guest blog contributor this week.  Keep reading to hear a USC parent’s perspective.

What We Love About Fall at USC


          Fall is a special time of year at USC. For our freshmen students it marks the beginning of their college experience. For our admission staff it marks the beginning of the recruitment cycle for our next freshmen class. For students and staff fall is a wonderful time of year for many different reasons. We thought it would be nice to survey our some of our students and admission counselors to see why they enjoy the fall at USC so much.

Space Shuttle Near Campus

USC’s campus experienced a once-in-a-lifetime event last month when the space shuttle Endeavour flew over campus on the top of an airplane. Now that the shuttle has completed its last flight, it has found a permanent home at the California Science Center in Exposition Park located directly across the street from USC!

We admission officers are currently in the thick of what we call travel season. We’re busy visiting prospective students at high schools across the country. A typical high school visit consists of providing information about USC– where we’re located, what types of academic programs we offer, what campus life is like– and also includes information about the admission process and application.
