It’s finally summer here at USC, which means our campus is quieter, the days are warmer, and our office is wrapping up making transfer decisions and gearing up and preparing for next year. Since we have a little more free time on our hands, we thought now would be a great opportunity to get to know our blog readers a bit better! In about a week we will be contacting transfer applicants regarding their application to USC. At this point a handful of students have heard of their admission. However, the majority of transfer applicants will receive a decision or a request for more information on or by June 1st.(read more)

We’re excited to host our Admitted Student Reception this Saturday, April 28th! We will be on campus all day Saturday hosting an open house event for admitted freshmen. The program will give students and their families the opportunity to take a closer look at USC one last time before making their final decisions.(read more)

It’s the middle of April, which means high school students across the country have less than 2 weeks to make a huge decision: which college to attend for the next four years. I remember quite vividly how I felt during the month of April when I was a high school senior—panic, excitement, pressure, fear of the unknown, and anticipation and hope for the future. I spent weeks agonizing over different options and comparing colleges that, in hindsight, are like comparing apples and oranges.(read more)

Oh, how the tables have turned! For months and months students have been waiting patiently to hear back from USC with their admission decision. Those decisions have been made and now we are waiting anxiously to hear whether or not you are going to come to USC.(read more)

One of the things I love about USC is all of the amazing travel opportunities offered by different organizations on campus. This past winter break I was able to participate in the Alternative Break Program in Chiang Mai, Thailand.(read more)

Each year we find that more and more students are coming to USC without a car, and inevitably prospective students have a lot of questions about whether or not it’s even possible to get around the city without one. I am happy to report that LA has evolved way beyond the typical “car culture” that everyone has heard of, and offers lots of options for those who have decided to leave their cars at home.(read more)
